Our consultation lasted less than 90 seconds with him asking three questions--not concerned about complete answers; that were asked by each other attorney consulted same day who gave the entire case consideration. My experience with Mr. Geller and his firm was extremely disappointing. Throughout the process, he repeatedly failed to communicate important information and often mixed me up with other clients, even after I provided all documents he requested. It became clear he hadn’t reviewed my paperwork before our calls, and when I pointed out these issues, he was dismissive and unhelpful. His tone became short and unprofessional, and my questions were never properly addressed. I ended up not filing and dismissing the case.
He failed to mention the bankruptcy would stay on my credit report for 7 years. I learned that through another bad review for this firm after the fact.
Overall, the service was disorganized, disrespectful, and far below what I expected. Do yourself a favor and go with another firm if you must file for bankruptcy. Worst experience of my life.

I JUST WANT TO HELP ANYONE WHO MAY FALL INTO THE TRAP THAT MY HUSBAND AND I DID AND SAVE YOU SEVEN YEARS OF FINANCIAL TURMOIL DUE TO THE INCOMPETETANCIES AND LACK OF HONESTY FROM THE GELLAR & GELLAR LAW FIRM. My husband and I called Robert Gellar's office to file bankruptcy. We moved from Florida to North Carolina and were in the process of moving back to Florida. We were told that with filing Ch. 13, our monthly payment would be around $545 a month, and we had scheduled a 341 meeting on Zoom but by husband, a car hauler, could not get his to work, so we had to re-schedule the meeting. Before we could attend the second 341 meeting, Mr. Gellar himself called me and said that we were informed incorrectly and that our monthly payment would not be $545 but $1045 monthly. At this point, I informed him that with our other monthly bills, we could not afford another $1045 monthly and could not afford to file for bankruptcy. He said our case would be dismissed. However, he failed to inform us that the bankruprcy....which is USELESS.....would still be on our credit report for the next 7 years! Such an upstanding kind of man is Robert Gellar. There is nothing that we are able to do. It's bad enough to have a bankruptcy on your credit report but you at least know that at the end, it will be worth it! Imagine having a bankruptcy on your report and it results in absolutely nothing. That's like having a felony on your record when you never committed a felony and just having to live with it! If you are deciding on filing for bankruptcy or not? Go ANYWHERE else EXCEPT GELLAR & GELLAR. You may end up getting more than you bargained for!

Almost there! Updated Post 341 meeting: I have completed my meeting with creditors, I have paid all fees associated with my bankruptcy, and now I just wait. 60-90 days I should have my debt discharged. My credit score has already gone up. I just got a new car, thanks to the recommendations of my attorney and I have already started to make better financial choices for a stable future for me and my son. My entire team has been so supportive and helpful. Have all your documents together before considering filing. The more prepared you are the easier the process will be. Hired this firm for bankruptcy and everything was able to get done in a timely manner. The only complaint I have is about the portal they have for messaging. The consultant and legal assistants we worked with were all wonderful, but the lawyer, Jerry Funt, never once responded to any of our questions through the message portal. I was told that it could take 2 or 3 days for a response which I found reasonable. But I never got a response from the messages I sent to him. I was told he was not available over the phone and to contact through the portal, but he doesn't seem to use the portal.

Hello, over a year ago I found myself against a wall financially. I am a single mother of one, but over the past 7 years I was raising my deceased sister’s three teenagers and caring for my 85 year old grandmother; all while trying to work a full time and very demanding job. Between a very large rent, electric and utility bills, and not to mention feeding and clothing 4 children, I found myself broken both mentally and financially. I was also being sued during this time. Nearly two years later after working with this dynamic team and working through the credit rebuilding program, I have increased my credit score, stopped any harassing creditor calls, and been able to repay some of my debts!
